FLC Signs Alumni All-Star - Chris Stamm Joins Camp Administration
Forest Lake is proud to announce that Chris Stamm has joined
the camp administration for the 2007 season as an associate
director. Chris has been connected with Forest Lake since the
early 70's when he attended as a camper, a counselor, a
waterfront director, and a head counselor. During the off
season, Chris teaches and coaches at the middle school level
in
Boca Raton, Florida where he resides with his wife, Tammy.
Chris will, no doubt, strengthen an already outstanding
administrative team consisting of George Mc Donnell, John

FLC Food Service-2007
|
|
Forest Lake is under contract with the Sodexho corporation to
provide the camp's food service for the 2007 season.
Not so coincidentally, the kitchen manager will be Jim "Jimbo"
Hinson who was the head chef at Forest Lake for several
summers in the 90's. "Jimbo" is a manager with Sodexho and
has been assigned to FLC.
As testimony to "Jimbo's" legacy at FLC, campers have been
singing "Jimbo's" song for the past 7 years since he last worked
at Forest Lake.

Ethel Davis 1918-2007
|
|
Forest Lake recently learned that Ethel Davis passed away on
June 7th. Ethel was a Forest Lake institution having worked
with all three generations of camp directors over a forty year
period. A true camp character, Ethel will be remembered by
thousands of alumni for her remarkably buoyant personality
and her grace.
Those campers and staff who were present at lunch on July
15,1993 will remember when Mike Clarke lifted Ethel above
his shoulders during the singing of "Happy Birthday" in
celebration of Ethel's 75th Birthday.
