Family Use of Camp
We have always felt that an enrolled camper's family was welcome at
Forest Lake, and this year we have formalized that welcome.
Beginning with this 2008 season, enrollment of a camper for any
length of time will entitle his or her family, and their guests, to free
unencumbered access to Forest Lake's facilities and off-season programs
for the entire year following that camp season. Our fields, ball courts,
trails and cabins will be available to our camp families to enjoy at no
charge. Part of the "home away from home" sense we want you to feel.
Some of the things you will be able to enjoy:
Family Camping--come for a weekend in the fall and let
your camper show you his/her camp. Stay in the cabins, hike on the
trails, play tennis, enjoy the mountains and the colors of the fall.
Fall Theme Weekends--we expect to put together one or two
special weekends each year that have special themes e.g. adventure
hiking, fishing, fall harvest, etc.
Winter--come up and snowshoe, ski cross-country, even ice
fish. The cabins will be cold, but we do have fireplaces, for those
hearty enough. Of course, other accommodations are available nearby.
No longer will we hear parents and siblings of campers remark "We
wish we could go there ourselves." Now you can." |
